RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 8 PM

Windy, warm and dry weather will result in increased fire danger Thursday.

West winds will increase 20 to 25 with gusts near 40 mph along the eastern slopes, this evening. A heatwave is expected to track into the borderland on Sunday and continue through next week.

Afternoon temperatures will climb well into the mid and low 90s, we will be close to setting record highs next week.
