El Paso man jailed for allegedly shooting dogs with pellet gun

EL PASO, Texas – A man is jailed on animal cruelty charges for allegedly shooting dogs with a pellet gun, El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies said Thursday.

Santiago Dominguez was being held in the downtown El Paso jail on $10,000 bond.

Investigators said the case dates back to April when a dog owner in the 14600 block of Anton Avenue told deputies that his two dogs had been shot in the abdomen with a pellet gun.

A warrant for the arrest of Dominguez was obtained a a few days later, but detectives said they didn't locate him until earlier this week to take him into custody.
