NORTH FORT MYERS, FL (WBBH) — A wife who said her husband was shot and killed at Laurel Food Mart and Deli in North Fort Myers last month, is demanding answers about the investigation.
She said she was told by Lee County Sheriff’s Deputies that her husband, Eugene Feliciano was the aggressor in the June 26 incident and that her husband’s killer was acting in self-defense. She claims she was told by deputies no arrests were ever made in the incident.
“It makes me frustrated, makes me feel upset, it makes me feel betrayed,” said Flor Teuta, Feliciano’s wife.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office won’t confirm if any arrests were ever made or give us any information about what happened, saying it is an active investigation.
Feliciano’s family said they saw new video of the incident circulating online. They said after watching it, they don’t believe Feliciano is at fault.
“She’s a widow,” said Erika Feliciano, Eugene’s cousin. “My niece and nephew are without their father and nobody cares.”
LCSO said they were unable to answer any of our questions about the case due to the investigation.
