Victim seriously wounded in east El Paso stabbing; officer hurt as police cars collide at scene

EL PASO, Texas -- Police were on the scene of a stabbing in east El Paso on Sunday night.

It happened a bit after 9 p.m. at Circo's Bar and Kitchen at 1610 N. Zaragoza and Vista Del Sol.

One stabbing victim was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries, according to a fire department dispatcher.

There was a heavy police presence at the crime scene, including a police vehicle that was rear-ended by another police unit as both responded to the incident.

Police said one officer was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries stemming from the crash.

No further details were available late Sunday night.
