Car flips over on I-10 westbound near UTEP during evening rush-hour

Interstate 10 westbound in El Paso was blocked near the Executive Center exit after a rollover accident during Wednesday evening’s rush hour commute.

The crash happened shortly before 5 p.m. and images from the crash scene showed a car flipped over. The wreckage was cleared around 6 p.m.

During that hour, traffic was backed up significantly along the interstate, as well as along Mesa and Sun Bowl, near the UTEP area as police and fire crews responded to the scene.

There was no immediate word on what triggered the crash or details on any injuries.
