Christopher Taylor to become next head football coach at Andress

EL PASO, Texas - The Andress Eagles are looking to continue their winning ways on the gridiron, but first they needed a new head coach.

Christopher Taylor will be the next head football coach at Andress High School.

Taylor is currently an assistant coach at Pebble Hills High School.

He's been with the Spartans football program since 2016, but prior to arriving at Pebble Hills he was an assistant coach at Franklin and also at Andress, so he's no stranger to the Eagles.

Taylor takes over for Jeff Woodruff who retired after six seasons at Andress.

He'll inherit a program that has been successful in recent years.

Woodruff won a total of 44 games while at Andress, and also captured district titles with the Eagles.

The Eagles went 5-1 last season, but then had to forfeit their first round playoff game due to a positive case of Covid-19.
