Son accused of murdering his father in South-Central El Paso to go on trial in January

Update (July 1, 2021): EL PASO, Texas — A son has been arrested and accused of killing his father inside a mobile home in south-central El Paso, police said Thursday.
30–year-old Jose Felipe Reyes Jr. is charged with murder in the death of 78 –year old Jose Felipe Reyes Sr., who detectives said was stabbed multiple times.
The victim was found unresponsive inside his mobile home at 6175 Alameda Avenue, Space 14, on Tuesday night and pronounced dead.
Reyes Jr. was being held in the El Paso County Detention Facility on $1 million bond; authorities didn't indicate what led up to the stabbing attack.
EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Crimes Against Persons detectives with the El Paso Police Department were investigating the discovery of an "unresponsive" man in south-central El Paso, authorities said Wednesday.
Police said they were called out to a mobile home park on the 6100 block of Alameda Avenue late Tuesday night to reports of an "unknown problem."
Officers then found a 78-year-old man unresponsive. Police have not specified whether the man died or survived.
No further details were provided by authorities.
