An ABC-7 First Alert is in effect for increased rain showers, thunderstorms, and flash flooding Wednesday and Thursday. The region is seeing increased rain from what was once Hurricane Nora.

Thunderstorms are likely to develop this afternoon and continue overnight primarily in areas west. Most of the heaviest rain will impact the New Mexico and Arizona border. Showers will likely spread east by Wednesday morning. A Flash Flood Watch will be in effect until Wednesday at midnight.

This afternoon expect a 20 percent chance for showers with much of the region under partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will run in the mid to low 90s with south winds around 5 to 10 mph.
