Hampton beats Gardner-Webb on White’s 25-yard TD in OT

HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — Keyondre White scored the game-winning touchdown on a 25-yard run in overtime to help Hampton beat Gardner-Webb 27-21. After Gardner-Webb failed to score on the opening drive of overtime, White went to his left but was met with defenders so he bounced outside with the help of a key block from quarterback Jett Duffey and reached the end zone for the third time this season. Duffey was 12 of 18 for 231 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions for Hampton. Bailey Fisher passed for 161 yards and Narii Gaither rushed for 153 for Gardner Webb.
