Las Cruces police confirm 1 woman has died from gunshot; 1 person in custody

UPDATE, 5:28 p.m: Las Cruces Police confirm one woman has died after suffering a gunshot wound on the 2230 block of Doña Ana Road.

Police say one person is in custody.

UPDATE, 4:40 p.m.: Neighbors tell ABC-7 a woman who was shot has died.

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico -- Las Cruce police report officers are investigating a shooting that happened just after 1 p.m.

The shooting happened near 2230 Doña Ana Road.

Early reports indicate there are injuries.
