Phoenix (KTVK) — A Phoenix-area woman is making it her mission to pay it forward in honor of her late husband.

Candice Brooks’ husband, Craig, died suddenly from a heart attack two years ago. He was only 38 years old.

Brooks says he was compassionate, helping others no matter the cost.

So she decided to honor his memory by performing random acts of kindness around the Valley with the help other sons and nieces.

“We’ve spent the day giving out gift cards to random people,” Brooks said. “We’ve bought coffee for people, we’ve been giving flowers out in the parking lot at Target to people coming out to brighten their day.”

Brooks and the kids encourage everyone to take some time to perform random acts of kindness this holiday season.
