El Paso’s Freakazoid Robots Festival canceled due to Covid concerns

EL PASO, Texas -- The El Paso County Commissioners and the El Paso City-County Health Authority have decided that the Freakazoid Robots Festival slated for Labor Day weekend should be cancelled.

Their reasoning is that the festival would put attendees at risk of contracting or spreading the Covid-19 virus amid the surge of the Delta variant.

The promoters of the Freakazoid Robots Festival announced the cancellation in a statement:

Dear fans,

We are saddened to announce that El Paso County health authorities and the El Paso County Commissioner’s Court, have determined it is unfeasible to produce Freakazoid Robots safely over Labor Day Weekend.

Please know that the well-being of everyone is our primary concern. We look forward to seeing you again soon, along with the quality of operations and production that you have come to expect from us.

All existing tickets will be refunded automatically in full. We are also providing another option for ticket holders to transfer their ticket to Freaky Deaky Festival 2021. These options and additional information are listed below.

Until then, stay safe. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
