EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- We are under an ABC-7 First Alert as rain chances surge for your Friday and temperatures drop into your Saturday!

We woke this morning to temps in the 40s-50s. Portions throughout the Borderland woke to some breezy conditions which made it feel a little cooler. Overall temperatures will trend just slightly below average through your lunchtime. El Paso is expected to reach a high of 67, Las Cruces is expected to reach a high of 65.

About dinnertime moisture pushes into the region, bringing us to a 40-50% for some evening rain. Those rain chances increase to 60-70% into your overnight hours.

A temperature drop will bring your Saturday afternoon high to the upper 50s.
