Little Piglet Fair offers El Pasoans family fun for a good cause

Every Little Blessing Preschool

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The first edition of the Little Piglet Fair is happening Sunday, May 7 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Rhino's hockey arena downtown. That is located at 4100 E. Paisano Drive, in the same parking lot as the County Coliseum.

All of the money raised at the fair goes to the El Paso Special Needs Education Center. The organization helps educate people with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities living in the borderland.

There will be inflatables, face painting, dancing, arts and crafts, ice skating and more. A variety of food vendors will also be in attendance offering things like homemade ice cream.

Pre-sale tickets are available now for $20. Tickets are $25 at the door. “The Little Piglet Fair is an off-shoot of our Whole Hog BBQ event, that symbolizes the ‘whole hog’ commitment to improving the lives of individuals with Down syndrome, and their families. We appreciate the support of the public, and encourage everyone to come out and have a great time,” director Jessica Quinn told ABC-7.

The El Paso Special Needs Education Center, also known as the Every Little Blessing Preschool, opened in 2017 with the help of the El Paso Community Foundation. It offers early intervention for preschool-aged students, using teaching techniques that help bolster students' social and academic skills.
