With correct, healthy lifestyle habits, you can help protect yourself and your loved ones. Physical activity is one of the best ways to improve heart health. Eat a heart-healthy diet, with fruits and vegetables while limiting saturated fats, salt, and foods with high cholesterol.

According to studies, stress is a high-risk factor when it comes to heart disease. take the time to find healthy ways to relieve stress and lower your risk of heart disease.

You can celebrate American Heart Month with a 3-mile walk or run starting at 8 a.m. this Sunday, February 5, at Scenic Drive. The free wellness event starts at the Westside entrance of Scenic Drive.
