Power of Pink event honors breast cancer survivors at UMC of El Paso

El Paso, TX (KVIA-TV)-The University Medical Center of El Paso looks forward to hosting this year's Power of Pink event on September 25, which highlights the resilience of women in El Paso affected by breast cancer.

Every year, the Power of Pink Community Committee gets together to celebrate breast cancer survivors and promote breast cancer awareness in the run-up to October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month; the event honors survivors from participating hospitals by allowing the community to recognize their strength, courage, and perseverance.

The program pays tribute to the survivors by giving them a makeover and arranging professional photographs. A display of photos of the women who took part in the makeover event, along with their words of encouragement, will be revealed at UMC on September 25 at 2 p.m. in the main lobby.

When: Friday, Sept. 25

Time: 2 p.m.

Location: Main Lobby, University Medical Center of El Paso, 4815 Alameda Avenue.
