Fiery Wreck Forces Diversions From I-35/Georgetown Area

GEORGETOWN, TX. (AP) – A fiery 18-wheeler wreck today north of Georgetown closed stretches of Interstate 35 and caused big traffic delays.

Vehicles in both directions were being diverted after the truck hit an overhanging directional sign on northbound I-35 near Lakeway Drive. Authorities say the driver escaped unharmed from the late-morning crash.
