Arson Suspect Killed Trying To Set Another Fire, Fleeing Police
ORANGE, CA. – New developments in the search for who might have started one specific fire.
Police have killed a suspected arsonist in the Santiago fires north of Orange County. Officers were keeping a close eye on the suspect, when they say they noticed he was trying to start another fire.
The suspect noticed the police were on to him, so he jumped into his car and tried to crash into a police car. Officers opened fire and killed the man.
“It’s something that you have to expect when you live up here. But there’s these crazy people in the world,” said Sally Long, a resident of Orange County. The investigation into arson suspects in the Santiago fires is still ongoing.
