NMSU Student Killed

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) – A woman is being held in Fort Wayne, Indiana, without bond on charges of murder and auto theft in the stabbingdeath of a New Mexico student.

Allen County, Indiana, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Stone says 36-year-old Tina Loraine Morris of Fort Wayne has a court appearance set for Friday.

She is charged with killing 22-year-old Liette Martinez of Las Cruces.

A roommate found Martinez’s body in her dorm room Friday on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Indianapolis police detained Morris on Saturday after Fort Wayne police issued a bulletin saying they wanted to question her.

Morris was driving Martinez’s car.
