Hikers Stranded On Franklin Mountains

Fire Dispatchers tell ABC-7 there are 3 hikers stranded at the Franklin Mountains State Park.

According to emergency responders, the hikers are nearly halfway up the mountain, close to Tom Mays Park.

Two El Paso Fire Department units responded to the call a little after two this afternoon and are assisting Park Rangers with the rescue.

Fire Department officials are on the phone with the hikers, and are advising them not to move.

We will have more information as the situation develops.
