Three Arrested In Anthony In Connection With Fight

ANTHONY, Texas — El Paso County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three over the weekend in connection with a fight in an Anthony parking lot, sheriff’s officials said.

About 1:50 a.m. Saturday, deputies saw several individuals fighting in a parking lot in the 100 block of North Main in Anthony, Texas. Deputies arrested a man allegedly holding a baseball bat as a weapon and wanting to go at a group of people, officials said.

As deputies investigated, another man ran off to elude deputies. He was apprehended and taken into custody, sheriff’s officials said.

Sheriff’s officials identified the two arrested as 24-year-old Robert Holguin of Los Cocos Berino, New Mexico, who was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon/club, and 31-year-old Miguel Angel De Leon of Acosta Street in Anthony, New Mexico. De Leon was charged with evading arrest or detention.

Another Anthony, New Mexico, man involved in the fight, identified as 25-year-old Alfredo Barron, was arrested for outstanding warrants, officials said.

All three were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility and all are now out on bond.
