City Will No Longer Pay Tuition For Police Officers

EL PASO, Texas — The city of El Paso will not reimburse police officers taking higher education courses for the time being, according to the Municipal Police Officers Association.

Officers currently enrolled in classes will need to find their own way to pay. The city blames the cuts on budget shortfalls.

They hope to restart the program later this year.
