ABC-7 Storm Track Weather : Storm Chances Return Before Another Round of Rain Arrives Next Week

EL PASO, Texas (ABC-7) — Storm chances will continue across our far eastern counties this evening, with a few storms potentially producing hail, before drier weather brings a brief break Tuesday and Wednesday. Rain chances are expected to return Thursday and continue periodically through early next week.

Drier weather expected Tuesday and Wednesday

The Borderland is expected to get a brief break from the rain and thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday as drier air moves into the region.

Temperatures should remain slightly above seasonal averages, providing a relatively warm and quieter stretch of weather across El Paso and surrounding communities.

Rain chances return Thursday through the weekend

The weather pattern is expected to become more active again Thursday as disturbances move from the eastern Pacific toward northern Mexico and the Borderland.

These systems will bring a shift to southwesterly winds aloft and help return subtropical moisture to the region, increasing the potential for showers and thunderstorms.

Thursday: Rain and storm chances return during the afternoon and evening as a disturbance moves into the area.

Friday: Another disturbance brings another chance for showers and thunderstorms, especially later in the day.

Saturday: A potential break between weather systems could keep conditions mostly dry.
