I have always enjoyed working for the juveniles in my precinct. I try to offer support through “tough love” and in many cases offer the second opportunity for them to make things right. Ultimately, I would like to see the children in my area succeed. I also want for everyone who comes to my office to feel that they will be treated with dignity and respect regardless of title. I want to offer them a fair judgment regardless of the situation.
WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM YOUR OPPONENT?
My passion for everything in the field, I thoroughly enjoy every detail of my job and I appreciate that I can now do so much for the central area. I have lived in my precinct practically all my life; I understand the needs of my precinct and try through my work to reflect the outcome that will benefit El Paso County.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE THAT QUALIFIES YOU FOR THE POSITION YOU SEEK
I have over 35 years experience in the Justice of the Peace office. I began working for the JP’s as an Administrator and learned every detail, before my election I had 25 years experience. I am currently on my 12th year as Justice of the Peace for the Central precinct.
DESCRIBE A MOMENT THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE
Quite honestly the day that I was elected the Justice of the Peace for the central area – I was on cloud nine! I had beat the odds and won against a prominent attorney. I promised that day to dedicate my job to the best interest of everyone one of my constituents.
