Cowboys-Cardinals Play On Christmas; El Pasoan To Lead Arizona

Growing up in El Paso, Cardinals quarterback John Skelton couldn’t escape Cowboys fans, but that doesn’t mean he joined them.

While some of Skelton’s friends and his mother were Dallas fans, Skelton sided with his father, who is from Oklahoma and dislikes everything Cowboys.

“He instilled that in me,” Skelton said. “Growing up, I really didn’t have a (favorite) team. I just watched Steve Young play, Brett Favre in Green Bay, kind of just followed players more.”
