Local Youth Fight Drunk Driving

Young musicians came together to organize a benefit concert at Cohen Stadium to raise funds for the families of two teens killed in a deadly car wreck. Friends and family remembered Aaron Carrillo and Jon Cervoni. Both were helping jump-start the car of a fellow band member, on the side of Loop 375 when they were hit and killed by a suspected drunken driver on July 9. Izzy Morales , co-coordinator , says drinking and driving is an issue for El Paso teens and it?s a problem that has impacted his life. ?I lost three friends because of drunk driving,? Morales said. ?I don?t want people to go through my pain and loss. People need to understand drunk driving is not smart and it affects everyone.? The proceeds from this event will go to the Aaron Carrillo and John Cervoni Foudation, which was recently set up to help the families affected by drunken drivers.
