Hillary Floren
Hillary has been an anchor and reporter at KVIA since 1997.
If you’re an early riser, you can wake up to her and co-host Bob Harp on KVIA’s top rated “Good Morning El Paso” from 5 to 7 a.m. Her previous positions at the station include weekend anchor and reporter.
Before joining the ABC-7 team, Hillary produced at KOAT in Albuquerque, and anchored and reported for KRWG, the student-run station at NMSU in Las Cruces.
An advocate for children, Hillary has a weekly segment called “Education First,” airing Wednesday nights. This program received the national Service to America award for making a difference in the community.
Hillary loves to spend time out in the community making a difference. She volunteers for the March of Dimes, Jardin de los Ninos (a day care for homeless children), the American Cancer Society, and the Centers for Obesity.
She is also a member of the Executive Council of alumni from her alma mater — NMSU! A former Miss New Mexico Teen USA, she still enjoys working with young girls and instilling confidence in them.
The proud mother of four little ones, Hillary doesn’t have much spare time! When she does get a moment, she and her husband Tom enjoy spending time outdoors walking, playing golf or basketball with the kids. She also loves the domestic life — baking and scrapbooking.
