?New Mexico State plays extremely hard and it had a great win to start its season,? UTEP head coach Keitha Adams said. ?We are going to have to play very hard, really good defense and do a great job in rebounding.?

The Miners (1-0) and Aggies (1-0) have squared off multiple times annually since the start of UTEP?s program (1974-75 campaign), with Wednesday?s match-up being the 77th all time. NM State leads the series, 46-30, including a 29-9 edge in Las Cruces.
