Motorcyclist & Teen Driver Collide In Deadly Crash

An El Paso police spokesman says investigators were called to the scene of a deadly crash in northeast El Paso.

Spokesman Mike Baranyay said a motorcyclist was killed after crashing with another vehicle on Hercules Avenue, near Comet Street around 6:30 Saturday evening.

Investigators said the 26-year-old man was headed west on Hercules when he collided with a Dodge Caliber on Comet.

Police said the 16-year-old girl behind the wheel of the Caliber and her passenger were not injured.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, according to authorities. No word yet as to who was at fault.

The spokesman said it’s still unknown whether alcohol or speed were factors in the crash.
