Briones Pleaded Guilty To Corruption Charges, Records Show

Former County Judge Dolores Briones pleaded guilty in connection with El Paso’s long running public corruption investigation.

Records show Briones pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud and embezzle federal program fund.

The ABC-7 I-Team learned within the past hour that Briones appeared before Judge Frank Montalvo the afternoon of Dec. 9 and entered a guilty plea, and posted a $10,000 security bond. Records in the case were previously kept confidential.

Dolores has been ordered to report to a probation officer until she’s sentenced.
