Boyfriend Accused Of Stabbing Another Man After Fight With Girlfriend

Alamogordo police said they responded to a stabbing in the 100 block of North White Sands Boulevard Sunday morning.

Officers arrived at the unnamed business just after 11 a.m. to find a 20-year-old man who had been stabbed in the back.

Police said the suspect, 25-year-old Alamogordo resident Russell D. Wilson, had gotten into a argument with his girlfriend who worked at the same business as the victim.

An investigation by police revealed that during the argument with his girlfriend, Wilson allegedly approached the victim and stabbed him once in the back.

Officials said Wilson fled the scene but was later picked up by police at his home.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was sent to Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to an El Paso hospital.

Wilson was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and tampering with evidence and taken to Otero County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
