Police Arrest Two Men Suspected In Northeast Gas Station Robbery

Officers from the El Paso Police Department arrested two men suspected of robbing a northeast El Paso gas station early Wednesday morning.

An investigation by police revealed two suspects, Sergio Cisneros and Joe Castillo, went into the Valero gas station store at 9050 Gateway North Blvd. just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said the two men worked together to take two 18 packs of beer when the store clerk attempted to stop them. Police said the suspects then beat and punched the store clerk and then fled the scene. Both suspects were caught a short distance away by officers.

Cisneros and Castillo were arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $40,000 bond,
