7 ‘Narco Banners’ Threaten Police In Juarez

Seven banners were placed throughout Juarez threatening the police chief and police officers.

The “narco banners,” which were discovered Wednesday, claim that one municipal police officer will be killed every day if Col. Julian Leyzaola keeps supporting or backing a particular criminal group, according to XHIJ Channel 44 in Juarez.

The banners were signed by “El Nuevo Cartel De Juarez” which translates yo “the New Cartel of Juarez.”

Two officers were shot and killed Tuesday, bringing the total this year to five.
