UTEP beats New Mexico to move to 10-1

Coach Keitha Adams and the UTEP Women’s basketball team took care of business against New Mexico Thursday night with a dominant, 60-45 victory.

The Lady Miners are now 10-1 (UTEP’s only loss came against Interstate 10 rivals, New Mexico State).

El Paso native Kayla Thornton led the UTEP charge with 22 points. Chrishauna Parker came off the bench for the Miners to grab 9 rebounds (all in the second half). UTEP is now 4-0 against major conference foes.

Coach Keitha Adams and the Miners will take the court again on December 28th against Sam Houston State. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. Tickets are as low as 3 dollars.
