Man pushing truck injured during wreck

A man helping to push a gasless truck was sent to the hospital after a car crashed into vehicle he was moving.

It happened around 1:00 a.m. Wednesday morning on North Desert Boulevard, just before the intersection with Transmountain. Police say the incident began when the driver of an Ford F-150 was taking a friend home, and ran out of gas. Police say another group of people stopped to help push the truck to a gas station, when a car smashed into the front end of the truck, knocking the driver’s friend under the vehicle.

So far there is no word on the condition of the victim. No charges have been filed, and the driver of the car was let go by police after the scene was cleared.
