Hospital district gets new board member

The El Paso County Hospital District Board of Managers has a new board member.

Monica Salaiz-Narvaez has been appointed to the board for a three year term.

Salaiz-Narvaez has worked is a business owner in El Paso, and has been working in the financial industry for 27 years.

“I’m very happy to be part of this board, I promise to do my best and I know that I will,” said Salaiz-Narvaez.

Commissioners Sergio Lewis made the appointment.

The Hospital District Board members are policy setters for the University Medical Center of El Paso, and multiple outpatient facilities that are run by the hospital.

Board members are allowed to serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.
