38 accused of DWI during weekend, including man police say crashed into home

Police say a driver was intoxicated when he crashed into a home early Sunday in the Lower Valley.
Jack Alfredo Cervantes, 54, was charged with a third driving while intoxicated offense, and booked in the El Paso County Jail. Cervantes’ DWI arrest was one of 38 since Friday, police said.
The crash occurred about 6:30 Sunday in the in the 7800 hundred block of Hacienda. Cervantes’ bond was set at $5,000.
From the begnning of Friday to the end of Sunday, police arrested 38 people on suspicion of driving intoxicated, including 13 in which the driver’s Blood Alcohol Content was twice the legal limit.
