Investigation into assaulted man continues in central El Paso
El Paso Police Detectives are now looking into the case of a man who is in critical condition after he was assaulted in central El Paso.
Police found him near the intersection of Russell and Truman Thursday morning. The police department’s crimes against persons unit was investigating the scene of the assault later that night. Right now the man – described as a 55 year old African American – in still in the hospital in critical condition.
Witnesses saw him and called police, who still don’t know how he ended up on the road. After a preliminary investigation, police determined he was assaulted with injuries to his head. We are told the injuries are severe, and at last check he is still at University Medical Center in ICU.
