Man allegedly drives drunk, hits police K-9 unit
El Paso Police said a man ran into one of their K-9 units when he was drunk last night.
They say 42-year-old Bobby Simpson was heading east on Trowbridge around 11p.m. Saturday night when he swerved into the police unit.
Police said the crash forced the parked police unit into a woman who was on foot carrying an infant. The woman and the baby were both treated for injuries and are expected to recover. The police dog inside the unit was hurt as well.
Simpson has been charged with DWI.
