Security guard’s gun accidentally goes off at Northeast El Paso Municipal Court
A security guard accidentally fired his gun inside the Municipal Court building in Northeast El Paso at about 8:15 a.m. Thursday.
No one was injured and there was only one other person in the area when it happened, according to a security guard on duty at the court that ABC-7 talked to. El Paso Police spokesman Mike Baranyay said only one round was fired and that it struck the floor.
It was not immediately clear if court was disrupted by the gun going off. Ruiz Protective Services provides security services at the court.
