Teen in critical condition after allegedly taking ecstasy drug, El Paso sheriff’s official says
A 17-year-old girl from Houston is in critical condition at an El Paso hospital after allegedly taking the drug Molly, also known as ecstasy.
The teen is still hospitalized, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
At 2:15 a.m. Monday, sheriff’s officers responded to University Medical Center in reference to the teen, who was unresponsive.
Sheriff’s officials say the teen came to El Paso with friends from Houston to attend the Sun City Music Festival this past weekend and that during the festival she collapsed and became unresponsive.
Sheriff’s investigators say they believe it was due to her taking Molly.
Molly is a pure form of the drug ecstasy.
Two people died due to taking Molly at the Electric Zoo Music Festival this past weekend. The deaths led to the cancellation of the final day of the New York festival.
