Body pulled from canal in south El Paso
El Paso Fire Department officials confirmed crews recovered a male body in a canal near the intersection of Delta and Coles in south El Paso.
The fire department said via Twitter that water rescue crews were dispatched at approximately 8:33 a.m. to the scene.
Assistance was requested by Border Patrol agents who discovered the body.
Fire dispatch confirmed with ABC-7 that it may be the body of a person crews were searching for several days ago.
