Here are just some of the events happening in the Borderland this weekend.

Friday-Sunday: El Paso Fall Home & Garden Show, El Paso Convention Center, 1 Convention Center Plaza, event runs Oct. 17-19, 2-7 p.m. Oct. 17, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 18, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 19, $7.50 general admission, $5.50 seniors, $3 ages 13-16, free for military/children 12 and under,www.elpasohomeandgarden.com

Friday-Nov. 2: “Footloose,” the musical based on the movie, UTEP Dinner Theater, 500 W. University Ave., event runs Oct. 17-Nov. 2, 7 p.m. Wed.-Fri., 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19, 2:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, $31.50-$46.50 dinner shows, $17.50-$27.50 non dinner, 915-747-6060 or utep.edu.udt.

Saturday: Comics, Craft Beer and Coffee NIght, Local comic shops will be selling comics and figures, event goers are encouraged to dress up and bring their comics to trade, share or show off. Where: Joe Vinny & Bronsons Bohemian Cafe, 824 N. Piedras St., 7-10 p.m., 915-449-6969.

Saturday: ‘Save the Museum Art Exhibition,’ A night of entertainment and wine. A live art auction will be held with all proceeds going to keeping the doors open and keeping admission free. Participating artists include Krystyna Robbins, Nina Walker, Candy Mayer, Hal Marcus, Alberto Escammilla, and many more. Sunday: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Heart will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Abraham Chavez Theatre. Balcony tickets are all that’s left and may be bought through Ticketmaster outlets, at the box office, or online at http://bit.ly/1yKJd76
