El Paso Police are investigating a Wednesday morning collision that involved a pedestrian.

Police say the crash occurred at 7:54 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of Montana when a 2011 Mazda, driven by a 33-year-old female, was heading southbound on Ochoa street.

The vehicle turned left onto Montana at the same time that a female pedestrian was crossing Montana and struck the pedestrian.

Police say the pedestrian was trying to cross Montana near an unmarked intersection.

The pedestrian, whose name is not known at this time, was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

No arrests or charges have been filed because the investigation is ongoing.
