Editor’s note: YISD Board Trustee Ana Dueez discusses bond election
Editor’s note: During YISD Board Trustee Ana Dueez’s interview, ABC-7 incorrectly stated that the Riverside feeder pattern would get $26.4 million. Under the proposal, the Riverside feeder pattern would see $42.3 million in projects. Schools in the Parkland feeder pattern are slated to get $26.4 million if the bond is approved. That number was erroneously omitted from the “bond breakdown” graphic during the interview and a previous story.
The Ysleta School District voted Wednesday to send a nearly $452 million bond to voters for the May 9 election.
Trustee Ana Dueez, who represents the Riverside feeder pattern, was the only trustee who voted against the bond election. She appeared on ABC-7 at 4 on Thursday to discuss the board’s action and her decision to vote against the proposal.
Under the proposal, the Riverside feeder pattern would see $42.3 million in projects.
