C-USA suspends UTEP coach Tim Floyd for 1 game for sportsmanship violation during game

Conference USA has suspended UTEP head coach Tim Floyd for one game for violating the league’s Sportsmanship Policy during the Feb. 26 game at Louisiana Tech.

Floyd received subsequent technical fouls midway through the second half of Thursday’s game and when he was ejectedhe failed to immediately leave the playing court area.

According to the conference’s standards of conduct, any delay or contrary action following an ejection will result in an automatic suspension from the following contest.

Floyd will not be one the sidelines for Saturday’s game at Southern Miss.
