TigerDirect to close its El Paso store

El Paso’s TigerDirect store will close but when it will close has not been announced.

Nationwide, 31 of its 34 stores will close by the end of June, Systemax, the company that handles TigerDirect’s public relations told ABC-7.

Employees have been notified about the pending closure and are being provided severance and outplacement assistance, according to Systemax.

Systemax told ABC-7 that about 40 positions will be impacted at the El Paso store.

“Consumer customers should know that although we are closing our bricks and mortar stores – they can still shop online at www.tigerdirect.com/. And for our business customers we will be placing additional resources behind our service to the B2B marketplace and look forward to expanding our service to our business customers.”

El Paso’s TigerDirect store was closed Wednesday but will reopen Thursday.
