High school students help the less fortunate

Several Coronado High School students gathered at the Rescue Mission of El Paso to give back to the less fortunate.

Members of the T-bird “GenerationOn” a community service organization at Coronado, put together an Italian-style dinner complete with spaghetti, salad, and cheesecake for dessert. The dinner was paid for with a $500 grant the group received from the ConAgra foods foundation.

The main purpose behind the event is to bring the community together to help end hunger in El Paso and the rest of the country.

“We’re hosting the spaghetti dinner, because it’s a great way to give back to the El Paso community and we want to raise awareness about hunger in El Paso,” Ethan Thomas, the group’s president said.

Dozens at the Rescue Mission showed up to enjoy the feast.
