El Paso Chihuahuas set record over the weekend

The El Paso Chihuahuas set a new franchise record over the weekend with their seventh and eighth consecutive sellout games! The streak dates back to Monday, May 11th and spans three homestands.
“What an awesome show of support from our city,” said Chihuahuas General Manager Brad Taylor. “We are proud to be their team and look forward to many more full games this season. Thank you El Paso!

The Chihuahuas registered 9,046 and 8,482 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Saturday’s 9,000-plus attendance was the third-largest crowd this season. The Chihuahuas are averaging 8,135 in 2015, up from 7,901 a year ago and have sold out 20 of 27 games so far.
In 2014, the Chihuahuas recorded three streaks of six and they sold out 48 of 67 games.

The Chihuahuas are in town tomorrow through Friday, June 5th as part of an eight-game homestand.
