Andress football coach takes job in San Antonio

The Andress football team had some momentum under their belt the last three seasons under head coach Patrick Brown.

But Brown has been hired for the same dual position at Sam Houston High School, the San Antonio ISD announced Wednesday.

Brown went 24-11 at Andress and led the Eagles to bidistrict victories last year and in 2012. Andress finished 9-3 in 2014 after going 8-3 in 2013 and 7-5 in its first season under Brown. The Eagles finished third in their district in 2012 and were second in 2013 and last year.

Brown succeeds Gary Green, who announced his retirement in April. It is still unknown who will take Brown’s place as head coach at Andress.
